Guest Terms & Conditions
-
General
-Accommodation will be given only the booked, paid number of paxs for camping and Safari trip. Drivers or any external participant who are not covered in the booking are not allowed for accommodation.
-Guests are expected to bring in the requested items and wear the recommended attire. Failing which, Dev’s Campground will not be held responsible.
-Guests are to humbly follow the guidelines set by Dev’s Campground. We will not be held responsible for any incidents occur due to not following the guidelines.
-Check in time for tour packages is 10.00am – 12.00pm. ( For locals) [Note: Prior notice of late arrivals must be specifically informed to the Campground’s management. However, late arrivals will result in shifting of time of the planned activities and itinerary from the standard timetable.]
- Check out time is 9.00am -10.00am.
- Guests have to arrive at Dev’s Campground between the above mentioned check in time. Dev’s Campground will neither pick up nor drop off guests before or after guests stay.
-Dev’s Campground only provides transport to the mentioned destinations in the tour packages given.
-Coordination of food, menu and dietary restrictions/requirements well in advance with us is the responsibility of the guest. Failure to do so will not hold Dev’s Campground responsible.
-Dev’s Campground expects and treats all guests who book their stay and acquire our services in Dev’s Campground are fully aware of the standard, natural risks that are prevailing in Camping, travelling in the Wildlife and nature outdoor environment. And that all guests have made adequate arrangements to compensate themselves of any issues on health, life, property, etc. [Refer sections “Insurance” and “Local tourists”]
-Changing confirmed travel dates must be informed;
 Foreign tourists-via email
 Local tourists- phone call followed by an email as a confirmation
[Note: Changing dates on confirmed bookings will be subjected to availability of dates and confirmation on available dates from Dev’s Campground is to be done within 30 days from the initial confirmed date.]
Booking & Payment
- Any booking made 7 days prior to the arrival date. Balance payment should be paid before arriving. 100% payment must be made prior to arrival. [Only applicable for foreign tourists.]
-50% payment must be made by local tourists to secure the booking and 100% payment must be made before arrival or at the time of checking.
- Bookings that are before 6 weeks to arrival date requires 50% advance payment to secure your booking. And the balance payment to be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival. [Only applicable for foreign tourists.]
- All payment details are given at the time of invoicing. [Bank account details are specified on the invoice.]
-Payment is done in the mode of a bank transfer. [Applies to local and foreign tourists.]
- All local & foreign transfers via and to the bank are borne by the client whilst making the payment for the bookings.
Insurance
- Guests are required and responsible for arranging a travel insurance to cover sickness, injury, death, loss or damage of baggage and personal items, cancellation and curtailment. The confirmation of guests bookings, confirms us that the guests have arranged such insurance.
Cancelation policy
In the event that a tour must be cancelled, Dev’s Campground will retain a portion from the payment made by the guest as a compensation for reserving the dates for the tour. This is to cover the reservation, administrative and other costs that were involved in organizing, planning the tour [only applicable to Foreign Tourists].
Foreign tourists
The refundable amount will vary according to the advance period of notification. Refunds that are subjected to problems related to health conditions, personal reasons or to security issues (i.e. travel freeze on certain continents or countries by the government where the client resides in.)
 3 months before arrival are 100% refunded.
 Before 45 days from arrival are 60% refunded.
 Less than 45 days before arrival are 50% refunded.
 Less than 14 days before travel there will not be any refund.
Any client intending to cancel a confirmed booking must inform the Dev’s Campground in a form of an email. Dev’s Campground will start the cancellation process from the date of receiving the cancellation email. After, the bank transaction pertaining to the refunding will be processed with immediate effect.
Dev’s Campground will not be held liable to pay compensation or to refund to the client in the event of failure in fulfilling the contract, where the failure is attributable to you, i.e. when a member of your group is unable to travel due to not taking his/her passport with him/her, or traveling on a passport which does not meet the requirements of entry into Sri Lanka, or to obtain a required entry visa. Dev’s Campground will not be held responsibility for any loss or damage to property or injury, illness or demise, any damages or claims however so caused arising directly or indirectly from war, riots, industrial dispute, contact with wild animals, terrorist activity, actions of governments or other state bodies, unavoidable technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment, delays, power failure, natural disaster, tsunami, fire, unfavorable weather conditions or levels of water in rivers, accidents from the time of pick up to drop down at Dev’s Campground or “Act of God”.
Local tourists
Payments made to secure the booking are not refunded in the event the booking is cancelled. However, the option of shifting the booking to a preferred date in a span of 3 months in the future is allowed.
Any client intending to cancel a confirmed booking must call our hotline and inform Dev’s Campground. An email must be sent to Dev’s Campground confirming the cancellation request. Upon receiving the emai of cancellation, Dev’s Campground will request the guest for possible dates in the upcoming 3 months.
Dev’s Campground will not be held liable to pay compensation or to refund to the client in the event of failure in fulfilling the contract, where the failure is attributable to you. Dev’s Campground will not be held responsibility for any loss or damage to property or injury, illness or demise, any damages or claims however so caused arising directly or indirectly from war, riots, industrial dispute, contact with wild animals, from risks prevailing in Wildlife and nature, terrorist activity, actions of governments or other state bodies, unavoidable technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment, delays, power failure, natural disaster, tsunami, fire, unfavorable weather conditions or levels of water in rivers, accidents from the time of pick up to drop down at Dev’s Campground or “Act of God”.
Cancelation process (Foreign tourists)
In the event that Dev’s Campground must cancel your holiday due to natural disaster, unpredicted conditions and other influential main events outside the control of Dev’s Campground, the following refunds are guaranteed;
Complete payment is refunded (100%) [Dev’s Campground will neither be held responsible nor liable for any inadvertent expenses that may arise in arrangements made for a holiday, which is later cancelled due to conditions beyond our control, which also includes “Act of God”.]
Upon confirming the booking with the valid payment as described afore to the bank, this contract will be active on to the respective guest.
By confirming the bookings with the respective payments, guests have read & agreed to our terms & conditions and cancellation policy.
